HOW TO CLEAN LEATHER MOLD

Cleaning mold on leather areas isn’t as hard as you may think. Sure the idea of a disgusting bacteria-like organism growing on something in your house may sound gross (which it is) but it’s certainly not hard to get rid of.

I am going to show you an incredible way you can clean leather mold for your ordinary leather items/areas. The first thing you need is a dish, now pour 2 cups of vinegar, 4 cups of warm water, and 3 tbsp of dish soap into the dish. Now mix them together and dip a clean cloth or sponge into the mixture and use it to gently wipe the moldy area on the leather. If you realize that the mold isn’t coming off that easily you can gently scrub the area.

You can use this method to clean mold off of your leather furniture such as the ones on a couch.

Now you might be asking a couple of things such as “is mold dangerous? can you prevent mold from growing on other areas/things? or what causes mold on leather?” Well, don’t worry I will answer those questions.

Mold isn’t nearly dangerous as it won’t kill you but it can cause allergy problems, skin and eye irritations, etc. So it’s still not good to live in a moldy home.

If you want to prevent mold from growing in your home just keep the humidity level in your house down somewhere between 30% to 50%. Also, be sure to dry up any damp/wet areas in your home as leaving them wet/damp for too long can cause mold to grow in that area. So it’s best to keep your leather materials dry and clean so that mold won’t grow on them.

Now, what causes mold on leather? Well, mold is usually formed in water and other moist areas. There is a lot of different types of mold but all of them only form when they are exposed to moisture.

HOW TO CLEAN LEATHER WORK GLOVES

Maybe you have been using them at work for a while or maybe you just had them for so long that you didn’t know that they needed to be clean. But leather gloves can get dirty very easily. So I will tell you the best ways to clean them.

One of the best ways to clean leather work gloves is to soak them in equal parts vinegar and water with 3 cups of powder soap. Put the gloves inside the vinegar and water mixture and let them sit in there for around 2 hours. After that, you should wither air dry them or put them in a dryer.

But that’s just one way to clean them. You can also clean your leather work gloves by just placing them in the washing machine.
