Fels Naptha is an American laundry soap brand. It was made a long time ago and it is best used for clothing stains and also good for treating skin irritants such as poison ivy. But there are many other ways you can use Fels-Naptha in your home. From your garden to your bathroom. Fels-Naptha will work its magic. As you can see it is very affordable and also accessible. Here are a few wonderful ways you can use Fels -Naptha.
1. REMOVES STUBBORN STAINS
If you are burden with dirty clothing that is covered in stains and want to get rid of them. Simply wet a bar of Fels Naptha and rub it on the stain. Allow this to rest for 30 minutes then toss in the washer and wash as you normally would.
You would be surprised at how wonderful your laundry smells and tada! the stain is gone. Next time you visit your local store remember to check your soap aisle for a bar of Fels-Naptha.
2. CLEAN WHITE SNEAKERS
If you want your dirty white shoes to look clean and white again, all you need is a brush and bar of Fels-Naptha. Simply wet the soap and rub it on to the brush, then use the brush to scrub your dirty sneakers.
When you are through wipe with a clean damp cloth. Your dirty sneakers will be as clean as the day you bought it. With a bar of Fels-Naptha, you can rest assured that your sneakers will be looking that way for a long time.
3. USE IT TO KILL PESTS
All you need for this task to work is a bar of grated Fels Naptha soap combined with warm water. Put the grated soap in the water then mix. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle then spray it over your garden. The mixture will kill the insects and also prevent new ones from your garden.
If you want to prevent the insects from returning. All you need to do is cut a bar of Fels-Naptha into small pieces about 1 inch then distribute the pieces throughout your garden. Place them at the bottom of the plants near to their bases. The soap will repel most insects from coming back to your garden for a quick snack.
4. WASH YOUR PETS.
If your pets have fleas, or maybe ticks then this means you need to react really fast. Fleas and ticks can make your pet’s life a misery. Here is what you can do to eradicate those pesty little culprits from your pets life forever. Wash your pet with a bar of Fels-Naptha soap.
Try not to let the soap get into the eyes as this will irritate their eyes. When you are through use a dry towel to pat your pet. Repeat this process every 2 weeks until the fleas and ticks are completely gone.
5. SOOTHES POISON IVY ITCH
Poison ivy is a common plant that when in contact with the skin can cause the skin to developed rashes and worst of all itches really badly. Most hikers can tell you the full story about poison ivy. Sad to say it could be right there in your backyard.
To soothe a poison ivy itch here is what you can do. Make a mixture of water and Fels-Naptha. Bring it to a sud. Scrub the affected area with the sud using a soft cloth or sponge. If that doesn’t work you can just rub the bar soap on the irritated part of the skin itself.
6. USE IT TO CLEAN SHOWER WALLS
Get a sponge or soft damp cloth and rub the Fels Naptha soap all over it until it gets soapy. Now use the cloth or sponge to scrub the shower walls. After doing this rinse the walls with water. This will remove all the soap scum and grime from the shower walls.
7. USE IT TO CLEAN INSIDE of YOUR TOILET
For this, you need to have a clean toilet brush(use a separate one you don’t really use) and rub a bar of Fels -Naptha on the brush (make sure the Fels-Naptha bar soap is wet before rubbing it on the toilet brush). After rubbing it on the brush, use the brush to scrub inside of the toilet bowl. This will make your toilet clean.
