USE IT TO MAKE YOUR SINK LOOK SHINY AND CLEAN
You need to make sure the sink is wet. After you make the sink wet you should sprinkle 1-2 cups of BFK(bar keeper’s friend) in it, then use a wet cloth to wipe the sink. After doing that you should rinse the sink with water. Your sink will look very clean and shiny after doing this.
Why Is It Called Bar Keepers Friend?
The name Bar Keepers Friend dates back to 1882, when the product was first formulated to help bartenders (also known as bar keepers) clean and polish the brass railings, sinks, and other metal fixtures commonly found in bars and taverns. It quickly became a favorite because it could remove tarnish, rust, and mineral stains without scratching the surface—making it an essential tool behind the bar.
The name stuck as a tribute to the bartenders who relied on it, and the “Friend” part highlights its reputation as a dependable cleaning companion. Though originally used in commercial settings, Bar Keepers Friend eventually found its way into households, where it continues to be a go-to for tough cleaning jobs.
1. GREAT FOR CLEANING STOVE TOP
For this, it’s best to use a Barkeeper’s Multipurpose cook top cleaner. What you need to do is get a damp sponge and squeeze a few drops of BFK multipurpose cook top cleaner on it. Now use the sponge to clean the stove. After doing this your stove will be looking cleaner than before.
2. CLEANS STAINLESS STEEL PANS VERY WELL
The best way to clean any stainless steel pans is to use a BFK powder cleanser. What you need to do is to sprinkle 1 cup of BFK inside the pot, then use a damp sponge to scrub both inside and outside the pot. After doing that you need to soak inside the pot with warm water for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes rinse the pot with water.
3. USE IT TO CLEAN SHOWER DOORS:
Apply a small amount of BFK to a wet sponge and use it to wipe the shower door. After that, you should wait about 7 mins, then rinse the shower door with water. Then use a dry cloth to wipe the glass.
4. USE IT TO CLEAN THE TOILET
This is very simple. All you need to do is pour 1 cup of BFK into the toilet then let it sit there for 10 minutes. After 10 mins use a toilet brush to clean inside the toilet, then flush. This will make inside your toilet look way cleaner than before.
5. Wash Wine Glasses:
As the name suggest, this product is used to clean wine glasses so they sparkle. I guess this i why it is called the Bar Keepers’ Friend as bar tenders us it to make their glasses beautiful.
Simply wash the glass with cool water then rinse well and dry with a clean lint-free cloth.
