Mirrors seem to get dirty very often in our homes.

Whether they are stained with water or our fingerprints. They usually look bad when they aren’t cleaned very often.

But don’t worry I will show you some incredible ways to clean your mirrors.

These tips will show you how to clean your stained/dirty mirrors without leaving any streaks.

HOW TO CLEAN MIRRORS

There are a lot of ways you can clean your mirrors but only a few of them is actually effective. One of the most effective ways to clean your mirrors is to use vinegar.

Now I’ve talked about vinegar a lot in some of my other articles but this is because it is very good at cleaning. You can use it to clean floors, countertops, and now mirrors.

To clean your mirrors with  vinegar you are going to need the following:

  • Spray bottle
  • 1 cup of vinegar
  • 2-3 cups of warm water

Mix the vinegar and warm water into the spray bottle and shake it. Now spray the mixture onto the mirror and use a paper towel or a microfiber cloth to clean it. The reason why you need to use a microfiber cloth or a  paper towel is that they don’t leave streaks on the surface you are cleaning. Sometimes ordinary cleaning cloth leaves behind thread residue on the surface that is being cleaned and it can be frustrating to deal with.

After doing this your mirror will be looking way cleaner than before. This will also clean a mirror that is hazy.

There are many other ways to clean your mirrors without vinegar and here is another way:

How to clean mirrors with rubbing alcohol

Cleaning your mirrors with rubbing alcohol is basically cleaning it with Windex except that it costs way less to do so. To clean your mirror with rubbing alcohol all you need to do is attach a spray nozzle to the bottle of rubbing alcohol and use it to spray the mirror. After spraying the mirror it’s best to use a microfiber cloth to wipe.

To get a more effective clean you can also add 1/2 cup of vinegar, 2 cups of rubbing alcohol, 2 cups of warm water into a spray bottle, and then use this mixture to clean your mirrors.

Remember when you are cleaning your mirrors you should make sure there isn’t a lot of moisture left on them as this may cause them to have watermarks and streaks.

To prevent your mirrors from becoming too dirty, just keep a paper towel and rubbing alcohol nearby so that in case of water splashes onto the mirror you can just clean it on the go.

What I mentioned above was the best way to clean your mirrors with rubbing alcohol.

HOW TO CLEAN MIRRORS THAT ARE STAINED

Cleaning stained mirrors isn’t really the same as cleaning an ordinary dirty mirror. Stains can form on a mirror in different ways such as fingerprints, water that hasn’t been cleaned from the mirror, black spots, etc.

To clean your stained mirror, all you have to do is mix 1 cup of vinegar, 2 cups of rubbing alcohol, and 1 cup of warm water into a spray bottle and spray it on the stained areas of your mirror (this is probably the best DIY mirror cleaner spray). After spraying the mirror use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe the stained areas on it.

Is there a way to clean mirrors without leaving streaks?

A lot of people seem to have a problem when they clean their mirrors and the problem is streaks. This usually happens when you use a dirty cloth to clean a surface.

The answer is yes, the best way to clean mirrors without leaving streaks is to use a microfiber cloth and the right cleaning product. If you just use water to clean any glass surface it’s going to smear the glass. So I would recommend that you use the things I mentioned throughout this article, such as vinegar, rubbing alcohol, or your ordinary glass cleaner.

Another thing you should do is always make sure you wipe the mirror properly. Don’t leave too much moisture on the mirror after cleaning it. This will cause water stains.

I hope this article showed you some incredible methods you can use to clean your mirrors.
