If it’s one thing we don’t clean that often in our homes, it has to be our trash cans. We barely clean them because it’s going to get dirty anyway. But did you know that if you don’t clean them they will start to gather a lot of bacteria and germs? Not only that but they will start to smell as well. So today I am going to tell you how to clean and deodorize your trash cans.

HOUSE TRASH CANS:

1. Vinegar

Wash your bins with vinegar and this will help to deodorize the bin. After washing your bin use a dry cleaning cloth to dry inside the bin.

2. USE DISINFECTANT

Get a cleaning cloth and pour some disinfectant on it. You should also squeeze a few drops of dish soap on it as well. After doing this use a hose to rinse out your trash can.

3. DEODORIZE TRASH CAN WITH DRYER SHEET

This is very simple. Just place 3 dryer sheets into the bottom of the trash can. This will make your bin smell better.

4. Pine-Sol Deodorizer:

Anther way to maintain a good odor is this…Simply pour a a small amount of Pine-Sol on a sheet of paper towels and place in with the trash bag.

Each time the bin is opened your kitchen or bathroom will smell amazing.

5. OUTSIDE TRASH CAN

The outside trash can usually smell way worse than the ones inside. Not only that but they are way dirtier as well.  This will show you how to clean your outside trash can the right way.

6. Pour the following in the bin:

• 3 cups of disinfectant
• 2 cups of borax
• 4 cups of powder soap

7. CLOROX BLEACH:

This works for any type of trash can. Simply combine a mix of part water and part bleach in a spray bottle and mist the can. Let it sit for 5 minutes then rinse. That a quick way to clean, disinfect and deodorize your trash can quickly.

This really works well with kitchen trash bins.

Pour all of them into the trash can and use a hose to wash inside of it. After that, your trash can will be cleaner than ever.
