1.USE DAWN DISH SOAP TO SCRUB BATHTUB AND SHOWER WALLS

If you have read some of my other articles, you will realize that I love using dawn dish soap to clean. That’s because it’s great for cleaning purposes, not just only for dishes but a lot of other things/surfaces too.

 

To clean your shower with dawn just squeeze a few drops of dawn dish soap on a cloth(damp). Now use the cloth to scrub all over the shower.

 

Be sure to scrub in between the shower tiles and also to clean the tub, spout, and showerhead as well.

 

 

2.BORAX IS GREAT AT REMOVING DIRT MARKS AND SOAP SCUM

To remove soap scum, dirt, and grime from inside your shower with borax, all you need to do is the following.

 

Sprinkle a lot of borax inside the shower tub and use a brush to scrub all over(remember to sprinkle water inside the tub before sprinkling the borax this will make the borax wet and moist).

 

After your done scrubbing rinse the tub with a lot of water.

 

 

3.LYSOL WILL GIVE YOUR SHOWER A NICE SMELL

This actually works. What you need is a bottle of Lysol surface cleaner and a cloth. Pour some of the Lysol on the cloth.

 

Make sure the cloth is damp after pouring the Lysol on it, don’t pour too much because you don’t want to finish it. After doing use the cloth to wipe all over the shower.

 

Wipe areas such as the tub/shower floor, shower head, tub spout, and the shower wall.

 

 

4.BAKING SODA WILL DESTROY SOAP SCUM

To remove soap scum with baking soda you need to dop the following. Sprinkle a lot of baking soda in the shower floor/ tub. Now get a cleaning brush and scrub the floor.

 

If the soap scum is on the shower walls/tiles just sprinkle some of the baking soda on a damp cloth and use it to wipe the walls. Remember to rinse the wall and floor with water. This should remove all the soap scum that was in your shower.

 

 

5.USE VINEGAR AND WARM WATER TO DEEP CLEAN YOUR SHOWER

If you want to deep clean your shower the right way, Just follow this tip. Get half a bucket of warm water. And pour 1 and half cups of vinegar in it.

 

Then get a cleaning cloth, dip it into the bucket and use the cloth to wipe everywhere inside the shower. Then after doing this rinse the shower with a lot of water(to get rid of the vinegar smell).

 

 

6.CLEAN YOUR SHOWERHEAD WITH A WARM DAMP CLOTH

This is simple and easy to do. Just turn on warm water on a cloth and use it to clean your shower head. It’s that simple.

 

 

7.USE A BRUSH TO CLEAN IN BETWEEN THE SHOWER TILES

Dirt and grime gloves to gather in between shower tiles. So if you are having problems or don’t know how to clean the grime in between your shower tiles just do the following.

 

For this, all you need to do is get a wet cleaning brush and squeeze 2-4 drops of dish soap on the brush. Now use the brush to clean in between the shower tiles. You can also use diluted bleach as well.

 

8. SHOWER HEAD REVIVAL

 Fill a plastic bag with white vinegar, secure it over your showerhead with a rubber band, and leave it overnight. This helps remove mineral deposits and improves water flow.

 

9.Rain-X for Glass:

Apply a small amount of Rain-X (an automotive water repellent) to glass shower doors. This will help repel water and prevent the build-up of soap scum, making it easier to keep the glass clean. Ensure thorough rinsing after application.

 

10.Lemon Power

Cut a lemon in half and use it to scrub surfaces. The citric acid helps break down stains and leaves a fresh, citrusy scent. Rinse well to avoid any stickiness.

 

11.Dryer Sheet Magic

Used dryer sheets can be surprisingly effective in removing soap scum. Simply wet a used dryer sheet and scrub away at glass shower doors or tiles to eliminate residue.

 

12. Steam Cleaning

Run a hot shower for a few minutes to create steam. The steam will help loosen grime and make it easier to wipe surfaces clean with a cloth or sponge.

 

13.DIY Shower Cleaner

Mix a cup of distilled white vinegar, a cup of water, and a tablespoon of dish soap in a spray bottle. Shake well and spray the solution on shower surfaces for an effective and homemade cleaning solution.

 

14.Toothpaste Trick

Apply a small amount of non-gel toothpaste to a damp sponge or cloth and use it to scrub away water stains or soap scum. Rinse thoroughly afterward.

 

15.Squeegee After Use

Keep a squeegee in your shower and use it daily to wipe down the walls and glass. This prevents the build-up of soap scum and water stains, making your regular cleaning routine easier.

 

16.Shower Caddy Cleanup

Periodically clean your shower caddy to prevent the accumulation of soap and shampoo residues. A quick wipe with a damp cloth or a soak in soapy water can do wonders.

 

17.Salt Scrub

Mix coarse salt with a small amount of water or lemon juice to create a natural abrasive scrub. This can be particularly effective for tackling stubborn grime in grout or on tile surfaces. Scrub gently to avoid scratching.

 

18.Shaving Cream Shine

Apply a layer of non-gel shaving cream to shower surfaces and let it sit for a few minutes. The cream helps break down soap scum, and you can easily wipe it away with a damp cloth or sponge.

 

19.Homemade Shower Bombs

Create DIY shower cleaning bombs by combining baking soda, citric acid, and a few drops of essential oils. Drop these into the shower corners, and as they fizz, they’ll help break down stains. Rinse the area after the fizzing stops.

 

20.Microfiber Magic

Invest in a microfiber cloth for your shower cleaning routine. These cloths are highly effective at picking up and trapping dirt and grime. Use them with your favorite cleaning solution for a streak-free finish on glass and tile surfaces.
